?? did you see the “athletics” that won them this award. If you told any Texas fan they could trade this award and those high place finishes for a championship in football or basketball they’d do it. Sure it’s cool to win an overall award but if your not winning championship who cares.

This is a participation trophy for schools that spend the most on non-revenue sports. Considering they are also the wealthiest program to spend money, not a surprise. It is pay to play basically, esopecially since a lot of other shcools are cutting those programs. For example Texas "earned" this by:


Texas won NCAA team titles in Men's Swimming and Diving and Women's Tennis and Rowing. Other Top-3 finishes included Texas Women's Volleyball team finishing in second place, followed by Women's Swimming and Diving, Men's Tennis and UT Baseball.

Swimming, Diving, Tennis, Rowing, and at least had baseball.

Similar to Clemson winning the National Championship in football and the coots winning it in bass fishing and then the coots saying we both had championship years...
