Tent City's energy is impressive and has been all week.

Aug 25, 2013, 11:57 PM

We started camping out last Sunday after move-in day and its hard to believe we pick up tickets starting tomorrow. I unfortunately wasn't on duty when Dabo gave out doughnuts but every time I've been on my shift, someone from any organization you can think of is giving out free stuff. A random man came up to me and gave me a whole watermelon for all of us and if you are reading this, that was awesome and considerate. The amount of students out there is pretty incredible (around 60 tents) and its been an awesome experience. All in all, dont be worried Tiger Nation. The students are ready. Go Tigers!

Enjoy your time at Clemson - every single minute.

I have been blessed with a great life so far but there will never be another period of time or place like Clemson for me.

For you students (as well as our younger grads and fans)

who have never been to a Clemson/Georgia game, I promise your efforts to obtain tickets and travel for the game will be well-worth it.

My first was the 1967 game at Clemson, which in those days was a packed house at 45,000. The buzz and excitement on and around the campus was equivalent to a bowl atmosphere, and although we lost, Clemson and Georgia people got along well and had a great time.

Since those days, I've been either to Athens or home for most of those games and have considered our series second only to Clemson/SC. The best advice from this older Tiger: don't miss the pre-game activities...and by all means don't miss a second of the game itself!

LOL...Actually, according to GWP, Bob and their crowd,

Aug 26, 2013, 8:07 AM

in 1967, I was 200 years old! Still alive and kicking 46 years later....Pretty neat, considering I was there when ole Tom Clemson used to ride around his plantation, thinking about having some type of "sporting" activities on his place other than horse-racing and #### fighting.

Back in my day all you had were sleeping bags lined up

Aug 26, 2013, 8:11 AM

against the library, it was a good job if you could get your GF to give you a handy when everyone around you slept.

Back in the early 70's we picked ours up under the "Zoo" after having lunch in the student union. That was after playing cards there all morning.
