Let's say you realize your license expired on your birthday

and you cannot get to the DMV for a week or so. What is the penalty for having an expired license? Is it really a ticket or is it federal prison? If you act like you had no idea, would it just be a warning? Asking for me who just realized his license is expired AND in order to do it online you need an eye exam in South Carolina which my family's eye doctor cannot schedule before June.

stickers on their cars that expired months ago. They seem to be doin alright. I'd just say don't let it go like 6 months or so. But then again I could be wrong because taggernit.oof is now in threaded view and everything is wrong now.

Renewing an Expired Driver’s License
Do not drive with an expired driver's license. If your
license has been expired for less than nine months,
you may renew it at an SCDMV branch without testing.
If your driver’s license is expired by nine months or
more, you must visit an SCDMV branch, pass a
knowledge test and a skills test, provide current proof
of address, and any proof of identity documents that
may not be on file.

But still had to travel for work, just always drive the speed limit and stop at every stop sign. Only issue is if someone gets in a wreck w you. Then it’s a fine and more time added w no license

wouldn't let me drive it home because my license was expired. Almost wouldn't sell it to me but then realized they were a car dealership and above morals.

You can renew online with eye doctors result. You got 9 months before they make it real hard on you. You can be ticketed for driving while expired. Don’t get caught.

My experience as of late is that you need to

set a time to go there on their website and you have to show up at that time. Look now to see when they have a LOT of available slots open. Also, consider going to one in a nearby town that is smaller.
Seriously, doing the eye test there will not take that long if you figure out the best time to go. Hint - before or after everyone else takes their corporate enforced lunch hour is the best time. 9-11 or 2-5.
In and out if you pick the right time.
