Was going to say the same as this poster.
I'm not sure what you mean by "get back" but GT is in a recruiting hot bed - GA & has the big city vibe of ATL that can be attractive to some.
IMO the right coach can turn them into conference contenders at least.
They'll always have to compete with UGA and other teams raiding the state so maybe they aren't challenging for national championships but they could still rise up to a regular 8-9 win program with the chance for 10 win seasons every so often.
