I imagine it's a stretch or just a dream for Tebow...

but is there any remote chance he makes the team and plays TE for the Jaguars?
Doubt the Jaguars will pay him much if he did make the roster

TE has become an important position..tebow

Would have to be really good to bump some1 who has played it their whole life.
But urban owes tebow. Tim is the only reason Urban didn't catch caine for having so many criminals on his Florida teams.

I could see Urban and the Jags signing him to the league minimum to start the year just to add to the hype and fill the stands. The excitement that Trevor brings plus Florida’s hometown hero being reunited with Urban. It’s exactly what that dying franchise needed. Remember not long ago there were talks the Jags moving to London. What better way to build excitement than with a good comeback story and new All Universe QB and his sidekick RB. Coaches by a legendary (in Florida) coach. It just screams $$$$$$$

I was thinking instead of signing a deal with the devil he signed a deal with Jesus. Tebow was a very good college player but not a good QB. For whatever reason he and Urban mesh. I’d hate for him to stick in Jackson I’ll and try to sneak into the QB room to advise Trevor. Trevor needs real coaching. Not from someone who thinks they know the QB position cause they won 2 National Championships and a Heisman then flamed out in the NFL.

Not a stretch at all. Have you seen his workout/diet

regimen? He has the physical tools.
He was playing minor league baseball the Mets organization through 2019, batting over .200 and played in over 70 games that year in the minors. No small feat.
And he can throw. He could be utilized in a lot of ways as TE.
I don't think it is solely based on the tickets/interest it would generate.
He could play and contribute.

Frankly, and I respect Tebow's accomplishments and firmly believe he got screwed by a stupid double standard during his time in the NFL, but . . . . . .
NO, HECK NO, this is beyond a joke and at worse, a dangerous distraction. He had his shot, gave it up, played baseball till it was obvious he couldn't make the bigs and stay. This is a giant NO to me.

He is 6' 3" and 250, I think he was adamantly against any

position, but QB, prior to leaving the NFL for baseball. Coaches wanted him at other positions.
Why would it be dangerous for him and for the Jaguars to at least try it?

I think it’s would be a bad distractions. I’m sure they’d even install gimmick plays and sub packages to get Tebow throwing the ball. The more I think of it he’s like Cam Newton but even worse throwing the ball.

Tebow has the physical tools to be able to contribute. Urban could have a specific package in mind for him. But don’t forget the Jags drafted a TE and have returning players at the position. It would be a surprise to see Tebow make the team and get any meaningful snaps at the position. I would imagine if he is signed it is a gesture of respect to Tebow, but also a smart gamble that if this driven young man can transition fairly quickly, the Jags could massively benefit from his locker room presence. Incredible leader and influence. Urban has broadly shared how much of an impact Tebow has had on him.

he's 33 and been out of football for several years, going against younger guys who have been playing without a break since Pop Warner. Not to mention TT didn't even play TE in college.
If we was going to do this he should have done it 5-6 years ago.

Probably in reverse order, but he gets to wear a uniform and go in late. I hope he makes it and has to give up the sec homerism gig.

He's 34 years old and hasn't played since 2015 and even then, he only saw limited playing time in the preseason before being waived by the Eagles. He hasn't played in a regular season game since 2012.
