and before Spurlid built the program. It's no comparison to Dabo's tenure. During TB's tenure USuC went 54-53. During Dabo's tenure they went 63-29.
It wasn't a heavy lift for TB.

Tammy Bowden (he wore make up for press interviews), did not care about the health of the team. Clemson sort of recruits itself due to the facilities and campus life. Bowden did so little with so much. Year after year we were loaded with talent across the board, but to no avail there wasn't a single National Mention of a Title game for us. He had the attitude of win 6 games and become bowl eligible. Whereas Coach Swinney is going for all the marbles. TEAM SWINNEY! TWEET THAT!

Clemson was ranked as high as #2 in the country under Tommy's watch so there was some talk of national championships while he was here.

weeks there. We were also 7th in the first BCS rankings (week 9), but promptly blew that when we lost to GT later that week.
