Tavien Feaster

I'll be so happy when Feaster gets here next year and puts all these questions at RB to rest. The group we have now is mediocre at best, but we haven't had a guy who could break it EVERY time he touched it. No disrespect to Wayne and company, but Tavien should start immediately.

I mean lets just be honest, we don't have a top tier running back. Haven't had one since CJ left.

So what do you consider top tier? Pretty sure Gallman the last half of the season became top tier.

He doesn't. Not yet. He's a very talented RB but right now he can't be mentioned with those elite few.

It's amazing to hear the things that come out of kids mouths when they don't have a clue what their talking about. A high school junior(senior this year) is not better than seasoned running backs. You can't be a student and live in your mamma's basement in cootlumbia at the same time.

You didn't even name 10 backs so just out first string is Top 10 in your mind. I am talkin as a Running Back group I believe we are as good as any in the Nation. We are stacked from top to bottom not many teams have a 5th string RB that could start.

Depth doesn't mean as much when they're all mediocre. I would rather have a big workhorse i.e. Melvin Gordon than this "depth" any day.

And Gallman will prove you wrong. He had 6 games to be a starter and you already say he isn't great you don't even know I don't either just saying dont underestimate him. He will show you this year coot. He looked great at the spring game and will keep improving. He may very well become one of the greats at Clemson.

Lol wow, so quick to call someone a coot. I'm actually a student here at Clemson. Everyone who offers criticism of the team is not a coot. Feaster is already better than Gallman and every other running back on the roster.

Well coot I'm glad you go to Clemson you can go tell Gallman he might as well quit next year he is mediocre and you go to Clemson so I assume you know what the definition of mediocre is. Dude is good real good and still learning the postion and will only get better. Has has proven he can play with the big boys all Feaster has done is play South Carolina High School Football. I hope Feaster is every bit as good an even better than Gallman is and will be but to say he is better right now is ridiculous.

I love Melvin now that he is a Charger and he had a great Senior year and a really good Junior year but his Freshman and Sophmore year was nothing compared to Gallmans so why can't Gallman do what he did his Junior and Senior year maybe even his Sophmore. I just don't get why you put this label on a player that he isn't great before he even has a chance to show you.

while I disagree with the OP's original statement. Gordon is a beast of a running back and on another level than Gallman.
Gordon played 14 snaps as a true freshman so you can equate that with Gallman's redshirt year. The next year Gordon had 621 yds rushing with 3 tds on 62 attempts while averaging 10yds a carry. Gallman had 769 yds rushing and 4 tds on 161 attempts while averaging 5 yds a carry.

Wayne Galllman is not a top 10 running back in the country. He was supposed to do that against a horrible Carolina defense.

Don't underestimate Gallman. Dude is a beast and only getting better. Looking more and more like DeMarco Murray. I can't wait to see Feaster as well as every tiger fan but don't doubt what we have now our backfield is as good as any in the country and deeper than most!

Okay so who has a deeper backfield? Can I get a list please. Yes Ezekel at OSU is probably on another level than Gallman but probably not many besides that. We are stacked at RB are you crazy CJ Fuller is a man beast and isn't even on the Depth Chart.

Is our offensive line Top 10 in the country?
The productivity of runningbacks is directly dependent on the quality of the Oline.

Gallman is quick elusive and tough. Considering he has only played one year, it's not out of the realm of possibility that he will improve. He hasn't shown the propensity to fumble.
Brooks has nice moves and looks fast. He may not be tough enough or durable enough to run between the tackles, but is a serious threat receiving as well.
Davidson has looked pretty darn good when he is not fumbling the ball. If he can clean that up he can help the team.
The little I saw of choice, he didn't look bad either before he got hurt.
Many say Dye is the best of the group, if that is true, then your statement is terribly inaccurate.
Either way, Feaster is no guarantee. remember Bellamy, he was a 5 star with breakaway speed.
Most likely Feaster will be lights out, but please do not disrespect the young men who are currently working hard for the team.

players than we can get on the field at one time.. Scott, Cain, and McCloud will all be able to break long runs.. yes i know they are passes, but cmon. What we need from a running back is the guy that can consistently run you over for the tough 2-4 yards when we need them.

Dude Andre Ellington was a stud, and while we may not have anyone in our backfield who is on the same level as CJ was, our backfield is deeper than it has been in years. Yes Tavien is a beast and may be the best when he gets here, but right now we have more talent than we have carries to go around. Your comment is stupid man. Like the guy above me said - Fuller is a hoss and he isn't even listed on the depth chart right now.

But we have a good group of RBs who are capable of doing what we need them to do. Don't forget about Mcloud, i expect him to take snaps at RB throughout the season in certain type of packages. The only thing we need to worry about on offense is DW staying healthy, every other position group is in good shape imo.

Neely boy is prob 18 and being a coot, doesn't really have a good grasp on the "troll" rules. DONT call out a RB that just blistered your chickens. Doesn't work, never will. Conner???? Bulldozer between tackles but my sister can run faster. What was that? 180+ against your chickens? Might be worse this year. Order has been restored.

I agree somewhat. I think Hallman can be better than average, but your right we haven't had an elite back since Ellington.
