Prediction - Our guard play will be better this year

I think our guard play will be better this year than last.
Defensively we will be significantly better at PG and SG than we were to start the year last year. Dawes and honor were both very undersized. Our starters this year will be bigger, more physical, and athletic. It doesn't matter if beadle or Galloway starts at 2. The same applies.
Offensively I think we could be improved. Our 3 point shooting might take a hit, but our guards this year are much more well rounded players. Dawes was great, but a lot of times he just wanted to take 3's. By the end of the year, chase hunter started in place of honor. I expect chase to take another step this year.
Basketball season is just around the corner!

Also, josh beadle could run the point.
He ran scout team PG all year last year. I love the versatility in ball handling of our team. Chase Hunter, josh beadle, and even brevin Galloway could run PG for us. That is not including Dillon hunter who is a freshman and was higher rated than all of them coming out of high school. If RJ Godfrey starts at 3, he's another guy that can handle the ball.

So basically we have no one who has played PG

at the D1 level.
I hope you're right. Just don't see it though. Until PJ is back 100% teams are going to be in our grill the whole game as we have no one who can score in the paint.

Go buy the Almanac from The Field of 68 crew like CB Insider Jeff Goodman and Terrence Oglesby. A must if you are a huge college basketball fan like myself. every Div 1 team has three pages of info. The web book is over 300 pages. They talked with every Div 1 HC. Better than any college football or basketball magazine on the newsstand by far.
Very insightful info about the Tigers. Not looking promising from their predictions and info. Coach Brownell keeps mentioning how young the team is. Also read on coaches on the hotseat.

Dawes and Honor were quick and could get hot from the outside, but they were defensive liabilities.
As you said, our height at guard will help tremendously. Dillon Hunter was a top 60-ish player according to ESPN. He will get quality minutes from day one. He defends hard and also takes care of the basketball. The coaches have been working with him on his outside shot. If he starts making those shots consistently, watch out.
Galloway is an upgrade over Honor IMO. He's about 4 inches taller and I feel that his shooting is comparable. He didn't shoot as well from 3 last year, but that is hopefully an anomaly since he shot it well previously.
And of course Chase Hunter is back. He really turned a corner last year. I expect him to be one of our leading scorers this year.
Beadle figures to get some good minutes as well. He improved a lot last year during his redshirt year. He can score, both from the outside and by taking it to the basket.
Yay for basketball practice! Go Tigers!

Based off of nothing

I think we would have been solid with the Princeton transfer that went to Michigan (Lewellyn?) Chase Hunter is good, but aside from that very unproven. Hoping Galloway can play every game in LJ like he played against us in LJ, but his track record in all other games says otherwise. Hoping for the BEST!

Terrence Oglesby mentions this in his interview at link after the 11 min mark. Says the point guard spot is a huge question mark after Llewellyn deccomitted.
