Tanner Muse still not gettin' any love from the experts

I've watched his highlights several times and can't believe how underrated he is.
ESPN 3 star, 54th ranked safety Rivals 3 star, 31st ranked safety 247 Sports 3 star, 36th ranked safety
This kid can fly, has great size and likes to hit. He will only get bigger and stronger over the next year. He will be a diamond in the rough in this class.
And he probably didn't want or couldn't attend some of these high school camps and local competitions, otherwise he would be rated higher.
Anybody else feel the same way?

He's more of a hybrid, that may be why

If he's being projected as a pure Safety, I can see how they might not give him more props.

Stars come from camps, all star games and 7 on 7 tourneys.

Tanner is a multi-sport athlete instead. And he probably wants to enjoy his down time.
Could you find 30+ better safeties in the country? Maybe.

Tanner Muse And Chad Smith ----

Could be that combo clean-up crew in games that are well in hand.....and.....a couple of enforcers on special teams. I sware these two have the closest characteristics of Venables and I think we are going to see that whenever they get on the field.

Don't think he went to any of these camp/combines. That's were these Internet guys get most of there info. They will have too look at him in some all star games.

Good point. I've heard some speculation / concern that Tanner could turn pro in baseball if drafted by a certain round. Is the kid that good at baseball? And does he have any plans to play for Jackleg?

Nor have I ever seen video of him playing. Nor have I ever heard of him until reading your post.
However, I am pretty sure he is underrated.

the less accurate the ratings are to me. It gets to be a "what's your favorite color" kind of measure to me. That Chad Smith still is a 3 star by some rating systems proves my point.
Being underrated and performing better than expected so to speak is maybe the best thing in the end.

I lives in the same town with Tanner and recently saw him in a restaurant and talked to him. It was "yes sir and no sir." He plays for Southpoint and is very fast, smart, and loves to hit. Not only a good football player, but a great young man. Good addition to any team.

kid is a big-time baseball prospect as an outfielder. He's currently committed to play both at Clemson and enroll in January, but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him change his mind and wait till the summer to see where he goes in the draft.

I have seen Tanner's video's as well. He is no doubt a good football player. The Clemson coaches know this and don't care about the stars. He will be a factor in the future of the Tiger Defense. He also may get a chance to play at the next level.
