He referred to Knoxville as an ugly "plateau" compared to the beautiful mountains distantly surrounding that area. Kind of like the ugly "piedmont" surrounding the middle lands. Has there ever been a better pair of smoke and mirrors than those mud castles that exist in Columbia and Knoxville?

I lived in Columbia for five years and now I live in Knoxville. Please don't equate these two cities. Knoxville is a paradise compared to Columbia.

I also live in Knoxville now. Never hear a bad word or comment about Clemson. It's a great place to live. Feels very much like a small town. Lots of CU folks here too. We're hosting a cookout tonight at our house with 40 - 50 Clemson folks.

I word a Paw just about every time I went out of the house. I never heard a nasty word out of a Tennessee fan. They wanted no part of the reminder I'd give them of the Peach Bowl. When Lane deserted them they acted like teenage girls who'd been stood up for the prom.

I think is really funny how everyone is worried about what TN is doing. I couldn't imagine how rival fans would be if Butch really does turn it around and start winning and gets TN back to where they used to be. I'm not trying to be a butt about it but its the truth. I've always been a big fan of TN & Clemson.

My wife and I drove through Knoxville a few months ago....

and we drove across the Tennessee River on the I-40 bridge. I pointed out Neyland Stadium to her and then we drove through town. She exclaimed that Knoxville was an ugly town and it doesn't hold a candle to Tigertown. ***she is from Georgia and did not graduate from Clemson*** I'd like to think I have done a good job converting her.
