Antonio Williams

Sep 28, 2022, 12:59 PM

I know we waited until there was only 3 weeks left in the recruiting cycle because we had 1 wr higher on our recruiting board. Who was the other wr and how has he done this year?

I love watching Williams. He wasn’t an early enrollee but has already been able to get on the field and he makes the most of his opportunities and makes big plays when he’s out there.

Pretty sure the other receiver was Andre Greene Jr. He is at UNC, and a quick search makes it seem he has 0 stats on the year.

Go Tigers!

The tricky thing about recruiting is we really don't know who is worth the wait or who is going to still be there after we fall flat on our face trying to get some one we really wanted.
Dang its too much like courting and dating......but the ones who are still there waiting for us that are just as good as the ones we really wanted....that is a lucky situation and a heck of a blessed pick- up.

Hoping he has the same impact Etienne had by being a last min commit to fill a void. Sometimes you just strike gold in that situation.

Talk about freshmen WRs making an impact...

WR1 from the instant he set foot on campus. Even these days, you don't see true freshman receivers having anything like the impact he had, right out of the gate.

That makes his pro career that much more frustrating and disappointing. Due to injuries, being under utilized, whatever, the NFL never got to see what we saw in college.

I think he will be starting Saturday night. He has produced in pretty much every game this season. He is probably our best WR get since Higgins and Rodgers.
