Take South Carolina off future schedules

When Texas A&M went to the SEC, Texas was taken from the schedule and the Aggie fans appear to be over it. I hate the Gamecocks, and as as read the Tigernet board, all I see is frustration over the losses. The Gamecock fans are uneducated pin heads with no class. Their coach also has no class, so I say dump them. Start scheduling other SEC teams, Big 12, or even PAC 12. I would not miss being exposed to their redneck and crude personalities.

part of our football tradition. If you have grown up in this state & have been a fan of either school your entire life, and you still think this is a good idea, then you need to have your head examined. Clemson football is not the same without this rivalry.

Agreed.
Texas A & M was in a no win situation with the University of Texas.
Clemson has more than held it's own historically with South Carolina. South Carolina has now won 2 baseball national championships and 5 consecutive football games against Clemson, but take it for what it is...
South Carolina got caught by the NCAA for multiple violations. Also, Clemson has been going through major turnover in their football coaching staff & administration. So South Carolina has been doing everything they can (ethical or not) to be perceived as a winning institution. Clemson has helped them gain in recruiting because of their coaching transition, but that thin recruiting class has graduated now. Clemson will regain it's recruiting edge and begin to win the rivalry game more often than not. (probably starting next year with the graduation of Clowney/Shaw)

Anyone that thinks we should drop SC from the schedule is full of it. We have currently the longest uninterrupted series in the south and 2nd longest uninterrupted series in the nation. And as much as I hate the coots and hate even more when we lose to them, I love when game day starts getting closer and both fanbases get fired up. Clemson-SC is our state's super bowl and if either school tried to drop the series, both fanbases would riot.

to ensure the rivalry is in perpetuity. Coot legislator Nathan Ballentine has tried to push it through before and it was not only killed in committee but was supported by neither school. Personally, I'd like to see it be made state law, as it is, and always will be, the most important game of the year. At some point (hopefully 2014) the worm will turn and normalcy will return. NC. State? FSU? All three of those games put together are not as big a rivalry as the dirt peckers.

I never go to Columbia anymore because it was all I could do to get through the cursing, spitting, redneck drunks trying to pick a fight ...before and after the game. Anyway, I say we dump them and their low class, drunken, redneck fans. We can replace them with good teams that appreciate and welcome visitors coming to their stadium. Some Clemson fan is going to die down there very soon based on what I hear from the brave Tigers attending ....and this rivalry is never worth that.

fair going trailer park crowd of people is what ruins everything. The majority of coot graduates aren't the smartest people, but they usually have some common decency.
Since Joining the SEC, the coots have gotten much worse. I remember UGA fans were the worst fans that I've ever witnessed. Now the coots are pretty close to them.
