Swinney has brought aphysicality to this team

I can't tell you the last time we were out manned in a game. LSU,Ohio St, Bama, and Oklahoma we were the most physical

I was telling the guys at the gym that Clemson's best teams

never get pushed around. Tommy Bowden just never got the importance of winning up front. I think the fear that was wayyyyy in the back of my mind was " what if the talking heads are right and Bama humiliates Clemson and their size just wears Clemson down." But it didn't happen and Clemson went nose to nose with them for 60 minutes. Dabo knows what he is doing and his recruiting style is sound and Clemson is going to beat the h3ll out of a lot of teams in 2016.

^^^ right on

I remember saying back in the Bowden days that he seemed to be far more interested in the 'skill' positions. I think he even said he wanted a light, fast OL... that doesn't work; football is won or lost at the LOS.

Bobby B was too, but FSU always had dominating OL and DL so that the speed guys had the room to do their thing.

Dabo is such a great guy and likes to have fun and all, but he was an Alabama football player. I'm sure he knows about toughness and what it takes to be a Champion and is instilling it in our guys. While I am sorely disappointed this morning, I know what I'm seeing on the field and its awesome to be a Tiger. We need to ramp up the recruiting in the secondary. Looks like we are going to lose some to the draft.

I hate to lose this game but the absolute worst thing

by far that could have happened was a 2008 blowout. ESPN wouldn't have let us forget that for the next 50 years. They would have called Clemson a fraud that talked tough then just folded up as usual.Didn't happen and we can take that away from this game.

Remember how "soft" we looked in 2008 and got punched in the mouth with a reality check? Well we definitely have closed the gap for sure. We may still need some more depth and speed in areas. The one thing that SC fans keep saying is would we be able to do this week in and week out because apparently every SEC team is as physical as Bama, and our guys were "dropping like flies". I just fail to believe that logic, but there's not a good way to prove it without switching conferences and that isn't happening. It's ironic because those same teams that gloat about being so physical are the same ones who will keep them a mediocre team for years to come.

Agree. I think some of the busted plays late were due to

Boulware, Goodson, Kearse, and Green being gassed. We were just a step slow and slightly off angle in the 4th quarter on anything wide. Seemed a lot like the 4th quarter of ND game on that crossing rap they were running.
