I had the opposite reaction. I was so inspired by the aspirational message of Biden that afterwards I had to mainline some melatonin. The big goal is to safely allow small gatherings by July 4th!!!!
"If we do this together, by July 4th, there's a good chance, you, your family and friends will be able to get together in your backyard or park and celebrate Independence Day."
Biden was careful to clarify that he's not promising large group gatherings.
Thanks Joe! I'd say there's a 100% chance that I will be gathering with family and friends --all vaccinated --actually this weekend. To paraphrase Vince Lombardi in Bidenese, "Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase mediocrity and the easily obtainable, we can claim excellence."
I am so glad we don't have 50 governors like Biden. There's a middle way that very few political leaders seem to be following, but big deal---we can have a cookout by July 4th???

Not sure I follow you. So you’re saying I’m selfish for gathering with family and a few friends all of whom are at least two weeks out from their second vaccination? If so, I guess I’m going to be more and more selfish. Pfizer-BioNTech just put out a study from Israel that said the vaccine in Israel prevented 97% of symptomatic COVID and 94% of asymptomatic transmission. If you think then that vaccinated individuals should stay away from each other based on this scientific evidence, then you must be a hermit? SMDH!

So if Trump’s in office thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings is a sin, but if Biden is in office coronavirus will be magically gone? More BS you sheep will believe!
