He's apparently our version of Bill Snyder

The one and only man who can make the program successful. (Kansas State better hope Snyder lives forever.)

I don't think Purnell would want to coach women's team.***

Re: Bring Rick Insell to Tiger Town

I want Middle Tenn State's coach, Rick Insell.

He's made the post season every year and 6 NCAA Tournament appearances, he's coached five All-Americans and three WNBA Draft picks in seven seasons. He's a good coach, developer of talent( produced nations leading scorer) and a strong recruiter. He'd be a great fit for us.

He is a great coach...

I've got a good buddy from TN and he knows this guys family well (his son is an assistant at UK) and has raved about Rick Insell for years. He is big time in that state and is a legend from his HS coaching days.

I don't get the impression he'd be leaving though. He is a born and bred Tennessean who has lived his whole life there and may still even live in Shelbyville and commute to Murfreesboro.

He'd be a good get, but probably a long shot. If he really wanted to move I'd think he could take his pick of jobs.
