Football - peeps ready to chop off the head of a team that just took us to the OrangeBowl , no reason to list all the accolades here. What a spoiled bunch of loud mouths.
Basketball - can’t enjoy a team that is playing hard , winning games, and representing Clemson well.
I am amazed at how many people on here can’t enjoy today , for worrying about tomorrow. I am down to about two to three visits to this board per week . I have traditionally been an all day reader , kept it up in a window at work etc.
You people , ya know who you are , are sucking the air out of this place. What you are doing impacts the image of our university athletic programs and sucks the wind out of the site.
Man I wish you would air your “dirty laundry” opinions to like minded Neanderthals at the water cooler or your homes and stay the heck out of here.

An undefeated conference record is pretty amazing and not something that happens all that often.
Not saying it was a great season, but it definitely was nowhere near a disaster. I wouldn't even consider it a disappointment other than the Scar game. The ND and Tenn game performances were disappointing but losing those two wasn't that surprising.

Riley wasn't as highly coveted after 2021, hence he ended up at TCU. Brandon Streeter was a good choice at the time, and his career isn't over. He isn't a poor OC, as he significantly improved our offense with the same broken QB Tony had.
Nobody could have made DJ any better than he is, and we saw him hit a mental wall and lose it again.
Brandon didn't get let go because a lack of design. There were some internal concerns over how Cade was developed and Dabo wanted to shoot for a more explosive direction and design, hence Garrett Riley.
Try be less of a fraud. Thank you.

If not are you working 14 - 16 hr every single day to strive to be the best of the best? That is what the best do. Working or studying or researching while every one else is sleeping or vacationing or whatever other people do.
When not working what do you do? The argument is made right there, if you are doing anything other than pursuing what you "strive for sustained excellence" in you are compromising on your standard as you are wasting time golfing, fishing or whatever.
It is easy to type cute words into a message forum but if you are not holding yourself to that standard, how and why would you impose it on others?
And if you are holding yourself to same standard I am sure your story will be in media soon as you will have "sustained excellence" in the nation or world at whatever you do.

I'm not sure this board would be very interesting if all we did was drink Clemson Kool-Aid while sitting around the campfire singing Kum-ba-ya.
I agree people could be more constructive when making some of their points, and also take the personal shots out of it, and just focus on the opinions. However, I also believe a good discussion board is meant to have some opposing views that are discussed in a forum of mutual respect and mutual love for all things Clemson.

If I might edify: It is extremely childish and spoiled behavior to constantly rag our coaches, who are far and away more knowledgeable than the raggers will ever be. You have no qualifications and hide behind anonymity. Historical perspective must be included, which says Dabo is by far, the best HC we ever had, and BB is riding a great streak. Probably the best coaching job he’s ever done, and his assistants are great.
So enjoy the Glory Years and stop whining!
One last thing - if you really think Dabo made the OC change to appease you, you are not sane…you’re blowing into the wrong end of the bugle.

There is a line between voicing opinions that Streeter is not doing a good job and saying, "Dabo doesn't care about Clemson anymore. He doesn't care if we win or lose. He's got his money. All he wants to do is promote his buddies and give his kids scholarships. He'll never fire Streeter."

I really don't think they hate the team but Brad is a very polarizing topic and I'm sure there are some folks who don't want the team to succeed if it means helping him stay longer. It is definitely a lightning rod discussion every time it comes up.

Tiger fans saw him play in 2021. Timid, fearful, inaccurate, inconsistent, slow processing and a bumbling runner. DJ improved in 2022 but not enough. He was one of only four Clemson starters who received no mention in All-ACC teams (1st, 2nd, 3rd, Hon Mention) voting. DJ did not beat a year-end Top 20 team, and except for Wake, played poorly in the biggest games. Starting CK2 mid-season and building his confidence and skill sets for a jump on late season 2022 and 2023 was a reasonable position and debate. We can surmise Dabo did not think CK2 was ready earlier. And we know DJ was often not ready. Wish DJ the best at Oregon State. On to 2023 with CK2, Garrett Riley and renewed confidence in Offense.

Don’t disagree with any of that and I was hoping Dabo was going to approach 2022 the same way he did 2018 with TL and KB. My comment when slwcu79 said “I'm sure there are some folks who don't want the team to succeed if it means helping him stay longer” about Brad, that this was exactly the same point Dabo was making about people rooting against DJ. There are some out there who would trade the team’s success to be able to say they were right about DJ. It was that vocal minority he talked about. Those folks are not really Clemson fans.

Don't think that any real Clemson fan wanted DJ to fail! We spoke of the failure that we witnessed time after time! Not to have spoken would have taken us out of the fan package and added us to the idiot package! To fail multiple times for the same reason and continue the process hoping for a different outcome has a name!

What we have now is mediocrity? Are you kidding me . My words said nothing about voicing opinions on Offensive schemes , defensive schemes , or even bad calls . It said that a loud minority on this board doesn’t make their point with without questioning coaches commitment , players deserving to be there, nepotism , and talent. Good debates are about scheme , what you would like to see , not raining insults on the people that want nothing more than to win games ! Yes I think I stand by my description . Spoiled . It is so disappointing to see the change in the Clemson family.

I do agree to a certain extent. Just scroll through the BS and be happy with the pumper status. I also do understand that things have not been where we all have wanted but the calling out of Dabo was a low blow imo, and to get pissed off one way or the other that differ on an opinion is juvenile.
Dabo makes changes and hires when he feels it is needed. That has been very obvious. I have one more I would like to see relieved of his duties and it’s not the DC, but my opinion of Dabo is not going to change if he does not make the move. I take the good and the bad and at the end of the day my opinion makes no difference anyways.

Fan based websites initially tend to attract reasonable and rational fans who want to discuss their team with like minded fans. (I found that when I first found Tnet when I was following the coaching carousel when Tommy Bowden was hired.)
But, over time, these websites tend to attract fans who love to hide behind anonymity and use their keyboard courage to spout all sorts of things. It's like the folks on the Finebaum show who love to shout about how intelligent they are and how stupid everyone else is.
Moderators have a tough job trying to keep them under control without having to have someone on the board 24/7 and deciding which posts are worthy of deleting and which aren't.
How do I handle it? I just ignore them. I don't pay much attention to the author of a post (I probably should.) I just click on it and quickly decide "This ain't worth my time." and go on to the next post.
The problem is, over time, those "idiot posts" get so numerous that the reasonable posters decide it ain't worth the time and they leave.
I was on an FSU message board for several years and that is what happened. It is now a board with virtually no sports posts. It is just a bunch of like-minded extreme left leaning folks who like to tell each other how wonderful they are and how stupid anybody who doesn't agree with them is.

As a season tix holder to both CLEM and UF I have been to many, many games over the years and encountered almost every fanbase in almost every venue in both the ACC & SEC--multiple times. Clemson has either THE best or close to the best fanbase out there.
Its not even close....

Whether it's twitter or a sports message board, stupid post start to dominate like bretfsu says. I have no problem with civil disagreement, but sports boards, not just this one, are the greatest collection of stupid people. Sports boards, including this one are no better than Paul Finebaum's show, it's just in written format. Maybe 20% are intelligent, reasonable, civil folks.

You have a point but many in Clemson are spoiled...me included! We want to be associated with a winner and when we see small things like a two year defunct quarterback we get up on our hind legs and gripe...Dabo has spoiled us with winning as no coach at CCC has ever done and I thank him for that...with our ability to graduate educated young men, put players at the next level with masters degrees instead of 2 and out I could settle for 8 and 3 the rest of my life...but I would still bitc* a little because I know what Dabo is capable of! Dabo has the right idea and we can still defeat NIL because as Dorothy said " there is no place like home"!
