STRANGE..as a fan I enjoy other teams history But it seems ND Fans don't..

Based on some of the ND blog posts seen.
Surely some of the astute Irish Fans are aware of what Clemson FB has done in past years (particularly last 5 yrs that rivals their overall record), and that we tOO have a few historical icons & moments..
Like having John Heisman here as Head Coach, winning the '81 NC, pushing their '77 NC team to its limits, beating their '79 team in Southbend, having one of the best college logos in the ??, having one of the most exciting entrances in FB with The HiLL rundown after rubbing Howard's sacred "give me 110% effort" RocK.
Saying, I've been to NDame twice & love their history & beautiful campus..and having such FB success to acquire 11 NC trophies & having 7 Heisman winners.
Still..I feel Clemson has notched out its own little bit of fame..especially considering its hidden location, in small poor state, sorry road system into Clemson til mid 60's, not backed by millions of Catholics, little national exposure or respect even when winning in '40 Cotton Bowl vs BC's Frank Leahy (who joined ND in '40 as HC), Or the two exciting Orange Bowls that Tigers played in during '50s (splitting with Miami).
So, Clemson is not Notre Dame..and vice versa. Both are great institutions in their own unique ways..and I give them both my respect.

Well said. But the fact is that some folks, whether it's due to their upbringing, geography or what fan base they're in, just don't respect anyone.

Well said, but I hope their players take us lightly as the country bumkins they seem to think we are and players of "little boy" football. I want them thinking that. Kind of like LSU seemed to think of us, until we humiliated them with their faking injuries just to get a breath.

Clemson doesn't run a recruiting station at every parish in the country and so few of us know that playing or pulling for ND doesn't mean your name is automatically entered into the Book of Life.

I met two brothers from Cheraw at a party one night. Both attended Notre Dame and didn't mind letting you know where they went.
