QB next year

I know every loves to talk about Chad Kelly and Deshaun Watson, but let me tell you something that I say with 99% certainty (the 1% basically being injury, Lord forbid): Clemson's QB next year will be Cole Stoudt. He's got the program exposure, a Tajh-like grasp on the offense, the playing time, you name it. I doubt it will happen, but I'd like to see Watson redshirt when he comes in, and let Chad and Nick be the backups, and then whatever happens in 2015, happens. If Cole and Chad stay healthy, I just see no reason to not redshirt him. At the moment, I'm not afraid of anybody seeking a transfer, but I can foresee a set of circumstances occurring where somebody might start talking about it. Thoughts?

Unless Watson comes in ball his tail off like he's expected to. He's a early enroll so that should help. It's gonna be a tough battle for that #2 spot.

Personally, I think if Stoudt starts next year and D. Watson earns the backup job then Chad Kelly may consider transferring. I mean think about it: He'll only have 2 years of eligibility left and, at that point, he'll probably be convinced that Watson will inherit the offense for the next four years. In the end, Kelly's competitiveness/disappointment will drive him elsewhere.
Then again, I hope this never happens. Seriously. I desperately want Kelly to be the starter and Watson the backup. For some reason, even though he is intelligent and a veteran, the idea of Stoudt starting just doesn't sit well with me...

I think Cole will start, but it will be a battle and would not be surprised one bit if between now and then Chad over takes him. My bet is on Cole though.

I think Cole next year. Kelly is well qualified for # 2 but i'm worried about his knees. It will take Watson that long to learn our O.
