Still have a desire for a Clemson player to win a HEISMAN..

for several reasons even though there have been winners who weren’t the best, or worthy character wise, or whatever.

First, John Heisman did a lot to mold Clemson football into what it’s still known for even today..competitive, hard-nosed, defensive minded, team, spirited, winners, etc.

Hale, if Coot George Rogers can win one after losing to Clemson hours b/4 he was voted in and never crossed our goal line in 4 freaking years and wasn’t the best player imho..then Clemson deserves a HEISMAN!

Second, since Heisman’s 2nd college team was Clemson and where he coached & succeeded so well on the grid-iron (until in 1903 when GT hired him away with a raise & a
% of the gate) we should be represented so to honor & represent him.

Thirdly, I think it’s still a cool trophy if the player has earned it fairly, and not politically.

PS: Will admit the Heisman House ads are child-like and even stupid but as you’ve heard ads are geared to an public audience of 8th graders (sorry kids!).

It's dead to me. We have had two who should have that both got gypped out of it. I wouldnt watch now if it was all Clemson guys as finalists.

One of the “stranger” Heisman trends is that the only 3* non qbs to win since 2000 have all been Alabama players. Hmmm

*Reggie Bush won but later vacated
