Steve Taneyhill weighs in on the Watsongate 2014

Former USC quarterback and current Union County High School head football coach Steve Taneyhill joined the discussion. “If he said he was good then he was good. Much respect for Mr. Watson,” Taneyhill posted.
He later added, “Y’all need to chill out. If the dr. said he is good and the player said he is good he plays. Football is a tough guys sport,” and “If it was me I play no question. Can’t hold me out of this game.”
Actually a decent article...the author fails to mention that those against him playing were dirtpeckers who had no problem with Shaw or Lattimore playing hurt..

I was at a dinner a couple weeks ago with an attorney who played football for UGA during is undergrad. My fiance (also attorney) was telling him how I don't think I'd let my kids (if I have any) play football until they were grown and how she didn't like that idea. He told her that although he didn't have kids, that he probably wouldn't have either. He ended it with "People say football is a contact sport - no, they're wrong. Football is a collision sport."
If only the players that were 100% healthy set foot on the field, there wouldn't have been enough guys between both teams to field even one team's offense this past Saturday. We did what we HAD to do and it worked beautifully, and DW4 came out of it smelling like roses. That being said, I do think now he needs to go ahead and have his surgery and sit the bowl game. Whatever bowl we go to is meaningless - he needs to get the rehabbing started, as we have a big 2015 planned for that young man.

Sour grapes city. I love how they all are crawling out from rocks with such concern. Who knows how many guys on both sides have played with more injuries than what was known. They didn't have to say the ACL was torn after the game but chose to. Nobody would have known it was more than the PCL strain from before outside of the inner circle.

the ONLY people still b!tching and moaning about Watson playing are a bunch of butthurt Capons still pi$$ed-off about getting their little chicken a$$es handed to them by a freshman QB operating with just one good wheel.
Frankly, they should be thankful he was playing with an injured knee otherwise the beatdown would have likely been much worse.
Bunch of friggin' hypocritical crybabies.
