Sterling Johnson

I usually have a good idea about every player on the roster, but I haven't heard anything on Sterling. Does anybody know how he is doing?

From what I've heard he's struggled a bit getting down the DL technique and over all scheme...might be a late bloom type player like Carlos Watkins...he's coming off a redshirt year so there is PLENTY of time for development for him.

Good question. In this case, no news is probably not good news. You usually hear a few things about a young guy, even if he's still raw. I've not heard any of the coaches mention him. Maybe it's a maturity issue. Watching him in the Spring game, he has the talent to play at this level.

yeah, I think he could develop into a good player. With Cervenka and Robinson moving, he needs to seize the opportunity. Still seems odd he is never mentioned.

He needs a little work , as he tends to get soft when there's no contact .

Shines though , you can see that he wants it and will just need to get his head into it .
