What’s your excuse for Ross & Goodrich being Undrafted?! Packers took a WR in the 7th from Nebraska and Goodrich was an All-American and bowl MVP. Both of these guys were projected to go in picks 100-125 and neither drafted. Throw in Skalski and Turner as well so these were freshman & sophomores too?!

Skalski and Turner were not projected to be drafted by several sites. Teams were scared off by Ross's health and figured they could sign him as a free agent. Goodrich? I'm shocked he wasn't picked.
Truth be told, we were quite young last year .
Next year's draft will be impressive for our Tigers!

I hope you're just a Coot or really young. We had the #1 draft pick last year. Next year it's conceivable that we'll have 4 D-linemen go in the first round.
Everyone knows this was a down year...and we went 10-3. Not bad for a down year.
The program is fine. Either DJU will be what everyone (in the country) thought he was, or he'll give way to the next #1 QB in the nation coming out of high school. Yeah, we're really on a downhill slide.

Must be a Coot whatever that is since I’m 50 and watched Clemson since the Ford took over from Pell…I’ve seen enough Clemson football to know DJ sucked so bad it set the program back. Can it be fixed? Absolutely but only if he gets out of the way and Cade is allowed to do what we know he can do. We’ve seen DJ and that ain’t it. Still waiting on your reasoning on the original post Ross, Goodrich, etc?! Or maybe you’re too young to know the down times back when I was sitting in the stands during the West years. ??

There is no logic in your post. That's why I didn't respond.
It's pure emotion.
We had a down YEAR. To assert that means our program is set back 10 years is more than absurd.
If we're having the same conversation this time next year, it means the program was set back 2 years, not 10. Pretty much the textbook definition of overreacting.
Maybe Cade is the second coming. If so, I'm sure he'll play, and maybe start...just like Watson and TLaw did, eventually.
But I think I'll trust Dabo's judgment over yours.

Ross had a bad year. It wasn't on DJ that Ross just didn't look the same. You add his injury and his play last year and it is NO surprise he didn't get drafted. Goodrich absolutely KILLED his draft stock when he ran an almost 4.7 at the Clemson pro day. Skalski was never picked to be drafted. Neither he nor Turner was even invited to the combine. Skalski's size and lack of speed meant he wasn't getting drafted. I am surprised Turner didn't get a call at the end of the draft but even Turner has been in and out of the lineup with injuries constantly. You had Xavier come back, he would have been drafted. You had Henry come back, he would have been drafted. You had Davis come back, he would have been drafted. Clemson didn't have many draft picks because mainly the ones that would have been drafted came back for another year to run it back and help their draft status. The OP claims to be 50 and have been a fan since Danny took over for Charlie but his knowledge level is that of a toddler. There is nothing wrong with the program. I mean every analyst is already talking about the Clemson defense being the best in the country next year and that's mainly due to all the guys who would have been drafted this year coming back. I know though, you can't fix stupid.

Lots of other factors and problems contributed to that.

I guess at this point if anyone says anything negative towards our Clemson Tigers as a Clemson fan they get labeled a Gamecock fan! Instead of understanding the original post to remove DJ and allow our defense to rest more since they went 10-3 last year dominating most games played on that side of the ball. Everyone thought DJ could be the guy after the 2 games he started his freshman year. We “know” nothing when it comes to what Cade can do.
