Starting Receivers?

Oct 1, 2019, 2:07 PM

Anyone's opinion on this line up

Ross on the boundary (seems to like it better)
Higgins field side (catches anything in sight)
Nagata as the slot ( big TE like body over the middle)

Ngata may be a viable option in the slot . . .

but I don't know his abilities well enough to comment.

The slot receiver must have the ability to create separation QUICKLY . . . Whether that's through explosive cuts, stopping on a dime, playing with violent hands or any combination . . . It just has to happen quickly!!!

Throwing short routes over the middle HIGH is NOT an accepted practice . . . Thus Ngata's height is not necessarily an advantage to a slot receiver . . .

The overwhelming preference in the slot is a crafty, exceedingly explosive individual with exceptional hands!!!

Amari, to me, is our best option . . . Hunter's past film should be an excellent source for learning the nuances of being a beast at body positioning for our slot receiver.
