recruiting. You would think we had recruited like sisters of the poor over the last several years and we were in for more of the same this year from the posts on here. Clemson will get a good, solid class and I happen to believe there will be surprises on NSD that will make good and solid more like celebrated and exceptional.
This program is in a long but steady climb toward the top.

someone posted an article the other day showing 10 top rated prospects who are waiting till signing day like Adams. We were a key finalist for several and this did not include Crowder who we are also a factor for. I think we will be very happy with this class.

Nice to get them but it is more important to get kids that can play in your system. Not all 5 or 4 stars fall into that catagory. Some3 stars may be better suited.

I personally knew a kid that was a 1 star that suited up and played for Tampa Bay and Chicago. He had strong work ethic and desire. He went to that other school but only because he had a learning disability and didn't have the grades to get into Wake Forest which is were he really wanted to go.

Stars may not be the be all end all of recruiting, but anybody that thinks that some of the guys being offered now (particularly at DB) aren't Plan D fall backs is a moron. It doesn't mean that they won't be good, but its obvious that they weren't high on the coach evaluation charts, or they would have been offered much earlier.

I'm not saying they are bad but some of the most prized recruits just wouldn't fit in. That is bad for both parties.

And if they have nothing to be miserable about, then they create things. That 81to85 guys comes to mind. Constantly searching for something to whine about. That's a sad way to live.
