I spoke to several Stanford fans who all had the same reaction to Death Valley;

"I've never seen anything like this"

"Clemson fans are just the nicest people"

"This is a whole different level of tailgating"

"We knew it would be good but until you witness it, you can't really understand it"

Then, we had 8 Stanford fans around us who simply seemed to be in awe of the atmosphere. They were really enjoying themselves...from the videos, to the noise, to the energy. They were even standing and clapping when the Rally Cats performed. The 4th Qtr video, they just shook their heads.

It was great seeing visitors pleasantly mesmerized by the Clemson aura.

I only wonder if they would have enjoyed themselves that much more had the weather been nicer!

But, good to hear Clemson fans represented so well!

About 3 hours before the game my group had paused in the vicinity of a bank of port-a-John’s. I noticed a woman taking pictures of a group that appeared to be possibly daughter & friends. Picture after picture after picture….immediately next to the John’s.

I politely introduced myself and advised “mom” that “we have far more scenic venues than the port-a-johns and she was free to frequent them at no charge”. She laughed.

Fast forward 3 hours. Walked right past her in the stadium. Said hello again. We were sitting about 20 yards away.

I hope they spread the good word!***

How do you keep Gamecocks out of your yard?
• Put up goal posts
What does a Gamecock grad call a Clemson Tiger grad in 2 years?
• Boss

I did speak to one other group, adult men about 50 yrs old. Walking in, asked them how they liked it and was everyone treating them well? They said, “this is an awesome setting and yeh, we’ve been given several free beers”.

So good job Tigers!

If they're not use to seeing an environment like what we have in Tiger Town, I bet it was a shock to them. I know the first time that I brought my 1st cousin with me to a game, he stayed in an amused state from the time we were actually coming with all the traffic and I told him 99% of them were headed to the stadium, and then when we got to our tailgate spot, and I was running a little late, he was like in a state of shock at all the orange and purple, and his head was like a revolving fan the entire time even inside the stadium. He would tell everybody when we got back, man you wouldn't believe how many people go to see a college FB game, he said you would think they were there to see a pro FB game. He told me several time, I had no idea how many people that go to see a college FB game. Like I said, he was like in shock of all the folks!!!
