Stadium Rules

Sep 13, 2016, 9:05 AM

A couple questions geared towards parents with little ones. For those that went to Troy, were the rule changes (ex: no diaper bags) hard to deal with?

I noticed that the rules say tickets can't be sold within 200 ft of the stadium. Is that a new rule this year, because we always buy our tickets outside the stadium.

Also...our son just turned 3 this summer. Will he need a ticket now?

I'd slip him in as a 2 yo without ticket unless he's already started shaving***

2 years old and younger are free but they're not going to

check the kids birth cert so don't buy the extra ticket IMO. I think 200 ft has always been the rule but it gets abused and really only applies when it's not a sell out. They'll scatter when a cop comes near. There was a guy right outside student gate selling this past Saturday.

Not sure on the diaper bag but I did see people carrying metal backed seats so they didn't stop that like they indicated they would.

Take him in as a 2-year old. Just warn him not to say anything if someone asks how old he is. He'll be fine.

The 200-foot rule is almost entirely in existence to discourage scalpers, and IPTAY rarely enforces it for fans trying to offload extras. I've sold tickets right in front of the IPTAY office before. I wouldn't worry about it.

Can't speak to the difficulties of bringing in diapers and so forth as my boys are thankfully past that age. However you can pick up a clear bag from one of the Guest Services kiosks--I know there's one at Gate 9. They were giving out clear bags on Saturday...admittedly flimsy ones, but you could fit a half-dozen diapers in there along with wipes, snacks, etc.

Thanks everyone. Hoping to bring my young kids to their 2nd game ever this weekend. Games like this are perfect for the little guys.
