Canadian or American side? I think the Canadian side had the casinos and was more popular the last time I was there, but it's been 10+ years.

The Canadian side is breathtaking... like a big flower filled park.. very clean! If I were going back, I’d stay on the Canadian side.

Would love to see it one day.

The Canadian side is like a well manicured park vs our side which reminds me of a traveling carnival.

I've been there twice and have always seen it from the Canadian side. Did you take a ride on a boat to the fall? I believe it is called "Maid of the Mist". Rain coats are provided.

I did the Maid of the Mist boat ride about a month ago. Awesome experience and recommended for anyone who goes to the falls

The fact that people have actually done that crossed my mind while we were there...I can't begin to understand someone thinking that would be a good idea! ??

Niagra Falls was a great day trip when we went to Syracuse 2 years ago. Cooperstown was also a good day trip from Syracuse. Our Friday night ballgame sucked.

No comparison. Canadian side wins hands down. But once you experience the falls drive 14 kilometers along the Niagara River to Niagara-on-the-Lake. A picturesque town where the river empties into Lake Ontario. Great restaurants, wineries, great theater, North America’s oldest golf course and much more.

Casinos on both sides now. On the American side it is a Seneca Nation casino. Maid of the Mist is awesome but you also need to go down the tunnels that take you right next to the falls. View from the Canadian side is a better view of the falls.
