Speaking of Yetis...

Jan 19, 2016, 4:29 PM

some frans gave me a Rambler lowball for Crimmas. I was skeptical until the first time I tried it, and now, I'M BLOWN AWAY. THIS IS THE GREATEST LOWBALL GLASS EVER. Doesn't sweat, my hand isn't cold, and I can reuse my 2" ice cube for my next cocktail. Palmetto Moon has them for $25, TOTALLY WORTH IT. They also have orange ones, and the orange paint job costs $10, apparently. Don't give a fuck, getting an orange one the next time I'm in Summerville.

Need Lunge opinion: am I required to put a Yeti sticker on my vehicles now? It didn't come with one. I feel like those are reserved for the true royalty who have actual Yeti coolers.

THE REAL QUESTION HERE IS WHY IS YOUR DOG WEARING A

Jan 19, 2016, 4:32 PM

SWEATER WHEN HE HAS A FUR COAT AND IS INSIDE?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Ah...good question. Neither my dog, nor my kitchen.

Jan 19, 2016, 4:35 PM

Both belong to the aforementioned frans who presented me with said Yeti-branded gift. The sweater on Charlie is pretty hilarious though. It has a scarf. I mean, it's a dog, running around with a scarf. You ever see a dog with a scarf? I have. It's great.

I can honestly say that I've never seen a dog wearing a

scarf.

One more thing to add to my bucket list. At the rate I'm crossing things off, I may never die!

Do your friends not clean dey kitchen?

Place is a mess.

Can you commission your pop to make one of those

Joonyer got me one for Christmas.

Jan 19, 2016, 4:35 PM

Had his graphics folks put the Clemson ring seal on it. I agree with your assessment of its functionality as well.

My 50th birthday is coming up in Feb. I just sent a link to Mrs. Beegshot informing her that

one of these in Orange would make a very nice present.

i am sipping some hot cocoa out of mine right now

Jan 19, 2016, 7:44 PM

and sitting next to the fire.

this is the best it has done for a hot beverage since i have had it (circa thanksgiving)

i don't seem to be getting the same results with cold drinks. room temp bourbon over ice and that is good for about one drink maybe half a drink more (it's cold outside).

what am i doing wrong with the cold drinks?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'll speculate, based on the handful of runs I've had so

Jan 19, 2016, 8:05 PM

far. 2" ice cubes probably last longer than the same quantity of ice in smaller chunks/cubes. There's your first tripping point. Second, the insulation is likely room temp when you start, and is so good at what it does that it'll take a few drinks and 30 minutes to cool down to your cold beverage maintenance temp. So by drink#3, you should be on cruise control.

This is all theoretical, of course. I'll research more.

this seems like it has some value

I guess I wil have to shoot for a few drinks next time.

Will experiment and maybe report back

I got one of the big ones for cripmas

Jan 20, 2016, 12:18 AM

Ain't gonna use it. I WILL NOT BE SEEN IN PUBLIC WITH THAT THING AND JUDGED LIKE I JUDGED ALL YETI KIDS WITH THE "FISCIALLY STUPID" LABEL. I probably spelled that wrong.

But serious. It's no better at keeping my coffee hot than my old thermos. This thing is the BOMB and can be had at wally world.
