South Carolina and the AP and Coaches polls

Lost in all the CFP rankings is the fact that South Carolina received 2 points in the AP poll and 9 in the coaches poll. I'm not sure how the points are determined exactly and how many voters that represents for each poll, but it shows that at least some idiots out there still think that South Carolina is deserving of a ranking in the top 25 right now.

I guess wins over Georgia State, SC State, Charlotte, a 3-5 Texas A&M team, and a now unranked 5-3 Kentucky team that didn't have their starting QB to go along with a 41 point home loss to Georgia, a 14 point loss to an unranked Arkansas team, and a 13 point loss at home to an unranked Missouri team is a top 25 resume in the eyes of those voters.

They're in the SEC Least! Gotta pump that side up so it doesn't bring down the whole conference!

Plus, they'll want UGa and UT to both have additional Top 25 wins. Ya gotta think strategerically here, ya know?

A voter from OR put them at 24…that’s their only vote this week.

Points are based on where you are ranked per voter. 25th = 1 point, 24th = 2 points, etc. So some combination of voters got the Shamechickens to 9 points in the coaches poll. Those results are private until the last poll of the season.

The AP poll votes are public. One voter cluelessly has them at #24 which is worth 2 points.
