Not sure Mariota is the answer. Too injury prone especially on a team with one of the leagues worst offensive lines.

SACKED more than any NFL QB not named Russell Wilson over the last 10 years. I defy ANY QB to have good throwing stats lying on his back.
Matthew Stafford was third on that list. Look at what a change of venue did for HIM this year.

They signed Marcus Mariota to be their starter. From Day 1 at Oregon continuing into the NFL, he fumbles if you breath on him. He's also injury-prone and it's likely (IMO) he'll be out for the season by game 6 or 7.
