Here’s my Coach Adair story that I hope I never forget.

The year was 1998 and Clemson football was gawd awful. TW had already been informed he wouldn’t be returning as the HC. We’re playing the chickens at DV and the place was packed and rowdy. I’m standing on the sideline and Coach Adair comes over and it was obvious he had been tailgating like any good Irishman should. About this time, someone on The Hill holds up a giant inflatable pennor. Coach Adair goes nuts, he’s yelling “Look it’s a giant f&$&ing caulk!” He must have said it 100 times but with his accent it got funnier every time.

Great guy gone too soon.

RIP Coach
