The run we had was amazing. It looks like the collapse will be amazing too. Ugh.
That rant was obviously more like a personal meltdown. It was personal. He is the most prideful coach we’ve ever had. He lost his composure when his pride was threatened. He couldn’t help it.
That’s a terrible sign for the next couple of years. He’s ready to cut ties with us. He’s holding leaving over our heads. He thinks we are undeserving of him. You can tell he thinks Clemson should be mediocre if not for him. I get why… but to make it so obvious is… sheesh.

He spent 5 minutes on it and told his life story. The caller made Dabo feel he had to demonstrate how Dabo, as a human being, was too valuable to have to hear complaining about his performance this year.
I think the caller is annoying. And I think Dabo has every right to be rude. But he got triggered and had a meltdown.

but instead of owning it, and apologizing, he chose to double down and criticize others for how they were supporting a Clemson family that was going through an unimaginable situation. That is not someone I can identify with, in either my personal life or on a site. TigerNet is a place we can talk sports, agree/disagree, pick at each other, and have fun. It should never be a place that we insult others for how they show support for one of our own during crisis. Something as insignificant as wearing a grey shirt to a game can help bring awareness, reminds us of what is truly important, and can bring a level of comfort to a Clemson family enduring something I hope none of us ever have to endure. To mock that is unimaginable to me. He criticizes others for the way they respond to situations almost constantly, but if we want to talk about embarrassing responses by someone who is supposedly a representative of Clemson, his would be a good place to start.

Although by definition, it was. I was providing the reason I am not spending additional time on the topic.
"In slang, a troll is a person who posts or makes inflammatory, insincere, digressive, extraneous, or off-topic messages online (such as in social media, a newsgroup, a forum, a chat room, an online video game) or in real life, with the intent of provoking others into displaying emotional responses, or manipulating others' perception, thus acting as a bully or a provocateur. The behavior is typically for the troll's amusement, or to achieve a specific result such as disrupting a rival's online activities or purposefully causing confusion or harm to other people." - Wikipedia

“Ya’ll ain’t sniff a championship in 35 years”
Aside from the godawful grammar, and the psychologically interesting unconscious use of “ya’ll” instead of “we”, is the implication that Clemson was nothing until he arrived. The man literally thinks we were some rusted out Ford Pinto that, by his grace, he turned into a Ferrari.

Putting his "aw shucks", down home, atrocious use of the english language, bible-thumping demeanor aside, there is no denying we were in the wilderness for 20-something years after Danny was fired (a complete travesty, IMO, but I digress). You have to give the man credit for putting Clemson back on the map......

The caliber of our performance, but the implication that we were just total dogsh## is just incorrect. I was in school during the Hatfield and West era, so I get that, and Tommy frustrated all of us at times, but we weren’t some laughingstock of a program, and I think all of us had just as good a time going to games pre-Dabo as post. He might have upped the W-L record during the 12 year run, but the enjoyment that comes from being a true Clemson fan at a Clemson game never changed.

As a kid growing up, I can vividly recall seeing PLENTY of empty seats during the Tommy West years. Not so many during the Danny Ford years. To me, that is the ultimate barometer whether (or not) your football program is dog #### or not.

I think Dabo's getting it from all sides---mainly the so-called "experts" in the media--about this season and the "demise" of his program. This "Tyler" idiot was nothing more than a trigger for a lot of frustration that probably boiled over. Did Dabo lose his composure a bit? Yep. Was Dabo on point for calling out entitled, unrealistic fans? Yep.

Words to live by...Stay out of a man's wallet.
If you don't think Dabo is good for Clemson you have concept of ROI. I'll start the list on possible replacements that will come to Clemson, win 10 games a season for a decade +, make the CFP and win two Nattys. You can fill it in...

We should all be grateful that he has graced “little Ol Clemson” with his presence for this long. That’s what has ticked me off the most about him. Like us fans don’t “appreciate” him enough and we’re not worthy. He lumps those who have concerns into a 1.5%, dividing the fan base with his gas lighting. Then in his passive/aggressive, teenage mentality way says he will go somewhere else where he is appreciated.
