RIP my Aunt in SC. Last of my Dad's generation.

Our closest relatives growing up, but harder to stay connected through the years. Her husband was my Dad's younger brother, who died a few years ago. My Aunt was beginning to slide into dementia then. They tailgated with my parents for many years from late 70's through the 80's, which was great as my Dad's health declined. They were married 59 yrs, and gave me the family Bible at their 50th wedding anniversary celebration. She was 89, born in Bennettsville.

Her name was Peggy. But I did have an Aunt Myrtle too.

Age and health sounds like it was time, but losing the last of a generation is hard - that's were we are, and it brings loneliness and sadness - hope you guys are ok.

it a bunch of paperwork about family lineage?
My G-mother used to talk about our "family bible" and when I finally saw it, it was a bunch of photocopied papers in a notebook that had records of places and times people lived going back about (literally) about 900 years. I *think* there was an actual old bible attached to all that once and had some names scribbled in it, and someone in the 50's made it a little more formal.
