Why ? That is a team that has consistently and historically avoided players from Clemson, except for a couple that had a cup of coffee there and moved on. Clemson allowed them to use our field at one time. I don't wish success for them especially with an ex-Clemson player they dial up to get them out of mediocrity.

I'd like to see him traded to the Pantthers but don't see them having the assets to pull of a trade. Maybe if BOB were still the GM, he overvalues RBs & always got robbed in trade negotiations; probably swap DW for C McCaffrey staight up-I wouldn't trade 4th round pick for McCaffrey

I would want to see trade for Deshaun.
Only the Saints would be worse.

and think the Panthers would be a very good destination for DW4.
I don't think the new ownership and coach should be held responsible for what happened during Jerry Richardson's tenure. Clearly David Tepper has nothing in common with him.

Excellent points. I would like to see Carolina offer McCaffrey, a starting WR, 2021 pick 8, and next year's #1. That should be a win-win.
And the supposedly anti-Clemson ownership group (Richardson) were all Clemson boosters/alums. Explain that.

JR's "blackball Clemson mandate" was real. Using sorcery, like facts & logic will not convince us otherwise-

Wow. Conspiracy theories. Who would have thunk it. I would love for DW4 to come to the Panthers. They are clearing a bunch of cap space and the rumor keeps popping up. Hoping its true

No! That's another organization that will not spend to win. Say they give up McCaffrey, a receiver, and a #1. Watson would then be in Houston of the NFC south. Hate the Panthers! But Watson signed the deal after they traded nuk. He knew what he was doing. Man up and honor your signed deal. Dont give me the "they promised him" crap. Was it in writing? No! Man up and play!

Deshaun is doing what he has a right to do

He hasn't publicly asked for a trade. His agent isn't blasting the Texans (yet).
I'll repeat this from another thread: Because of the franchise tag, he basically had to sign the extension since they could control him for 4 more years regardless. This is how the NFL works. It isn't like the NBA or MLB. Owners have a LOT more control over players.
If he chooses to sit out, the Texans won't have to pay him.
Somebody needs to create sticky thread listing some of the specific issues with Deshaun and the Texans so everyone can plainly see it involves a lot more than "man up" and "honor your deal".
Being a local, I get most folks on this forum don't have a clue how much the franchise has fallen since Cal McNair took over for dad. I won't repeat myself here.

How do you figure they won’t spend to win? The NFL has a salary cap, and the Panthers had previously been near the max cap which is why they’ve had to make moves to clear up cap space.

drafting a Clemson player, there is also the fact that their colors contain that irritating "Carolina Blue". I detest all things Tar Hole. (Except the pretty girls, a man's still got to have his priorities in order, as they say!)
