Something good will come from the field goal protection problems

Oct 11, 2020, 9:33 PM

Dabo will get the problem patched up in practice. Meanwhile our opponents will be overly aggressive against a perceived weakness. Expect to see a successful fake field goal in the next couple of weeks.

Two ways to slow down the rush, block better and be ready for the fake. We rarely put an all out rush on field goal or punt atrempts

Did Miami set an NCAA record for most blocked field goals in a game? It looks like 4 overall blocks is the record held by Montana, Middle Tennessee, and Colgate (mostly punts and extra points).

It is quite strange that a team as soundly dominated as Miami was, dominated the FG defense category.
