What things are factors in?
Who decides or votes. AP poll involved at all?
Doesn't the official playoff rankings come out pretty soon?

It's totally determined by the final ranking of the Playoff Selection Committee. They don't come out with their first rankings until sometime in November.

Requirements for Clemson

1) Win every game
2) Hope for the best

Requirements for SEC team

1) Win conference title with no more than two losses
2) Let ESPN hype you into the playoffs
