More broken brain covid insanity

A former teacher of the year puts her son in the trunk so he could be quarantined. She’s so scared of a virus that has a 99% survival rate that she shoves her own kid in the trunk of a car.

If one of the corona bros could help me with this logic I’d appreciate it. What’s more dangerous? Getting a virus that has a 99% survival rate that has a current variant going around that gives you a mild cold, or being shoved in a trunk where oxygen is limited/scars a kid for life?

And this isn’t just some crazed lunatic, it’s a former teacher of the year who has been trusted by parents to watch their kid for 8 hours a day for years. This is the insanity this virus and the leftist media has caused. People are so scared they are literally losing their minds and all logic flies out the window.

One 99% survival rate is non sense … please stop that.

But two you know why we will get to a 99% survival rate one day? The shots! The shots which nearly universally prevent extreme sickness and death.

We are in a stage of a pandemic for the unvaccinated. So please get your shots

This lady clearly has some issues overall. And your summation that “she is so afraid of the virus” isn’t really accurate.

Jog on to another right wing talking point. Maybe book burnings? That seems to the the flavor of the moment for you lot. Thought maybe burning witches at the stake is next. #FingersCrossed

Some parents lock kids in trunks while they go smoke crack or get looped on meth. But it is what it is I guess.

BareShelvesBiden is trending today. Only problem, Publix was as fully stocked and busy as I've seen it this past weekend. Only bare shelves were SOME brands of TP, and the Jimmy Dean frozen food section, which is normal these days. Everything else is fine. Even Gatorade is back. Meat was $15.99 a lb, still steep for ribeyes, but that's down from $18.99.

Feel better? Exact numbers don't matter but doesn't take away from the OPs point. Survival rate is overwhelmingly positive and only getting better.

She is either "so afraid of the virus" or is a total moron, and you are the one that goes into the world of hyperbole with the book burning and burning witches comments. Get real.

Survival rate for Ebola on average is slightly above 50%. Does that mean we can say “well the majority live so no biggie”?

Second is is estimated that 10-15% of people experience long Covid. So not sick enough to die but not well enough to you know, be normal in life. So should we ignore them?

God I thought we were done talking about these numbers. Survival rates ARE getting better because people are getting their shots. Numbers are NOT getting better for the subset of people who do not get their shots.

Please get your shots. It’s the only way we make this endemic and end the pandemic

No, I didn't say that. You did.

You were the one that made a big deal about the numbers.

Have my shots. But we will not "vaccinate" our way out of this.

My goodness the Ebola comparison has got to be the most illogical thing I’ve read on this site probably ever. So you’re telling me a 50% (1 out of 2) survival rate is comparable to greater than 99%?

And yes it is greater than a 99% survival rate as anyone with a brain knows the total amount of cases can no way be known and the death toll is pumped up. Even if you don’t acknowledge that, it’s 98.6. Lol.

You just can’t have conversations with people this illogical. These are the same people who think men can get pregnant.

death rates have gone way down since the first wave for a variety of reasons. The rate is much lower than it was since day one. Also those charts only include confirmed cases. Actual cases are much higher.

I've had 3 shots. Everyone in my family has had 3 shots. I along with several others recently got COVID and surely passed it on.

So how is this "a stage of a pandemic for the unvaccinated?"

Locking her 13 year old in the trunk of her vehicle is prima facie evidence that the women is indeed terrified of COVID. Her 13 year old had far a greater than a 99% chance of surviving Delta much less Omicron.

Most of the people I know have been triple vaxxed. I now know far more people who have had COVID than at any time since the pandemic began. The shots are beneficial, but this is not a pandemic of the unvaccinated.

You've been triple shot along with everyone you know. How many ended up in the hospital? Let me guess ... none.

In NC currently every COVID patient in the ICU is unvaccinated. 100%. That is the pandemic of the unvacccinated.

Out of every 10 deaths, 9 are unvaccinated.

Can we catch COVID? Yep. I don't like the term vaccines because we aren't going to be able to eliminate the virus anymore. So now we are in an endemic state. And that is what the shots will do. Protect you from death and long covid.

Then tell me what the survival rate is. Google it and get back to me. It’s very easy to find. And after that tell me if you think literally every case from every person has been diagnosed.

People who are triple vaxxed are getting and spreading the virus everyday. The jab in no way prevents you from getting it or spreading it. 62% of the country is vaccinated and the virus is running rampant more than ever. It does help with severe illness. So how is this a pandemic of the unvaccinated again?

So the lady doesn’t fear covid, she just stuffed her son who has covid in a trunk for no reason? Weird how anyone could draw that conclusion huh?

Your last paragraph has nothing to do with anything that was said, so whatever you say bud.

This isn't the majority of folks by any means. don't make it seem like this is the norm. it's a story because it's so out there. not because it's indicative of the everyone's state of mind.
