I get our baseball season is disappointing, but if you're going to criticize Jack for the style of play that has made him one of the most successful coaches in college baseball, then GO POUND SAND.
I think most are wondering what it might take to get back to where we were, including a possible coaching change at some point. But we're still a ranked team and the fact that you have to find his running to the team after the ump meeting and his style of being at 3rd base is pathetic.
Criticize his 900 wins next time...oh that's right, you can't. What a bunch of f**cking brats you are.

Because I think it's stupid that you should have actual game play based reasoning instead of pissing and moaning about his game rituals before you deserve to have a say?
For the record, I'm very unhappy with our season and not entirely pleased with our coaching.
However, I don't whine for the sake of doing it.

Ok, I'll break it down. Jack a great job in 2010 after 3 years a mediocrity, since then, we've been the 4 th or 5th best team in the ACC. This year looks no different. Is this what you want?

nine series we have played against top ranked teams. Been swept in at least two of them, maybe more. Lost 3 or 4 in a row to Liberty. Got wacked by Western Carolina. Etc.

This will be what the 3 or 4th year in a row and no post season games at Clemson. The Tigers should be hosting every year no excuses. It's time for change because this program is going down fast.

but I guess that's part of the problem with some...comprehension.
Once again, I'm not disagreeing with the frustration in our results...I just found a recent post stupid because it criticized things that HAD NOTHING TO DO with the game.

I have criticized his style for years . Or by style were you referring to antics? If so I don't like. Those either. Bat warming, arguing before the play is over, touching a fielder while ball in play, generally uptight.

Also maybe I shouldn't have said they "made" him one of the most successful coaches...but rather, haven't hindered his 900+ wins and recognition as one of the greatest coaches ever.

The yrs he has spent on it should be paying off with the bat changes but lit isn't. Poor fundamentals constantly kill us. Any time we face a stud pitcher we get shut down. Hard to defend any excuses at this point right down to losing good assistants. That happens to all good programs and plenty of time has passed to find the right combinations.

You should take a look at his record against the powers. USC, FSU, etc. he has lots of wins over the little schools. You need to do some research before you talk. Since 2008 I think he has 6 wins against 28 losses I think agiainst #####. Real good huh?

I read the first sentence of your post and don't need to read more. You are a LOSER! You reject that Jack is done as a good coach. Very sad. I want to say I respect your loyalty as a Clemson fan, but you would be the biggest failure as a CEO of a company. I'm coming to Clemson soon to scream that Jack Leggett should go. Be ready. criticizing coaches since sports were concocted.
Even Frank Howard and Danny Ford bore the brunt of attacks over ugly losses or perceived downturns. Of course, the "Devil's Playground" wasn't around in those days, but people made up for the absence with more vocal ranting.
It's what sports' fans do...always have, always will. And frankly, I'm not so certain that's not a healthy thing, for the to and fro of discussion often yields a better understanding of the sport itself.
I have no opinion of our baseball program, simply because I don't follow it like I do football. Thus, my only comment has been that even the greatest generals sometimes have to hang up their hats to allow for new blood. Frank Howard realized that himself.

It's not hatred to wonder why you can have so many poor pitchers on one team. These are all pitchers who performed well in high school. Why did so many loose all their skills when moving to Clemson?
It's not hatred to wonder why so many players who had hot bats in high school, who actually hit very well early in the season are now on a downward spiral.
It's not hatred to wonder why our players have no fun and play with a defeated attitude.
It's not hatred to wonder why our game management is so different from that of successful teams.
I don't hate anyone but it's not fun to see a group of once talented players become a team of unhappy young men who have not improved their skill at Clemson.
Is it the players or the leaders?
