Some observations from Under Armour All American game.

Trenton Simpson is a PLAYER! Not highlighed nearly enough. Best LB on field last night on either side. Big, fast , athletic and will hit you in the mouth. We're lucky to have him.

Capehart played Solid. Had alot of double teams to fight through. That speaks to how dominant he was in practice. Gonna be a good one.

Sergio Allen will fit in well with his LB role.

EJ Williams is another good one. Prototypical Clemson WR. Can't wait to see him in Orange.

All 3 lineman played a good game. Kind of hard to tell about them in a game like this.

Julian Flemming is good but not #1 ESPN overall player good.

Desmond Evans is big but kind of on the slow side. Speed was a big knock on him in combines. Another not #1 rated DE by ESPN. Myles Murphy is on another level than Evans in my opinion.

Burch is big and athletic looking. Made some plays but seemed to take plays off. Will be a good talent for u6c. He will be good but not dominant like Clowney was.

Kudos to our staff for not pursuing Darnell Washington fully. Huge kid but played lazy and can't block. Non-existent in this game. Evertime he came off field he wanted to hunt down a camera and sign autograph. Seems to want spotlight on him. Mom did not look happy with his decision either. Definitely not a culture fit for Clemson. IMHO and I may catch some flack for this but I just have a feeling this kid gets into trouble at UGA or gets UGA in trouble. Either way I think this kid sees some trouble unless he changes some things.

Darnell Washington strikes me as one of those guys who physically peaks in high school. I question if he can raise his game at the college level. On the other hand, I think Arik Gilbert will be a dominant receiver at TE for LSU. Wish we could have snagged him.

Julian Fleming might be the best receiver in the class but I don't think he's even a top 10 player.

Burch didn't do a single thing when I was watching but he's a bit of a project. He might not do much as a freshman but his athleticism is freaky.

Bryan Bresee's sheer awesomeness and outsized personality has sucked all the attention away from Myles Murphy but Murphy will be an impact player as a freshman IMO. They will be a devastating pair of bookends on our D-line.

Bryn Tucker cracked me up when he shoved the D-lineman offsides and acted like it was someone else's fault.

Can't wait for the practice reports next week on the 2020 class.
