All State softball pitcher and she basically pitched every game we played. However, if a baseball pitcher goes for five innings, he is relieved (note, back in the day, many pitchers went nine innings), and he has four days off. I assume that an underhanded pitch/toss is normal and puts no strain on any muscle, whereas, an overhand pitch affects the tendon’s in the shoulder rotator cup, Just asking.

In my younger days I played in a very good fast pitch league. At the end of the season we had the league championship tournament. Our team had two outstanding pitchers. We advanced to the championship game with no losses as did one another team. We lost to this team 1 to 0. They only had one pitcher, but was he was better. He pitched every game for them in the tournament.

Underhand is a natural motion so not much strain on the arm. As long as a pitcher doesn't get tired, they can usually go.
