Softball televised today but baseball isn't?

Mar 6, 2020, 9:40 AM

What gives? Not complaining, mind you. I've enjoyed the softball games.

Someone said recently that Clemson only has two production teams and when there are 3 events on campus one of them has to get left out.

I'm disappointed that I don't get to watch the baseball game today, but I understand basketball having their final game televised and I know softball is getting a huge push because of the excitement that they are drawing around the fan base.

Hopefully today will be the last conflict and we will have baseball and softball available from now on.

Thank goodness. I was afraid it was because we lost to ETSU and CofC.

Believe it or not Softball in 5-10 years will be more profitable then CBB. It's always on TV when it is on, usually only the Regionals and CWS end up on TV in many conferences. I miss the streams Clemson always had.

I would much rather watch Tiger basketball than watch this baseball team! How you can support a baseball team and coaches and spend hours on tnet bashing the basketball team and coaches is hard to understand. Neither is a world beating team but they are Clemson Tigers. The GT game is very Important. Very.

I like the tone of this post. But I'm just not seeing the importance of GT now. I know the NIT. If we had taken care of business at VT maybe GT would be important. I've seen us go down the NIT road before. It ends up with road closed signs when you get to the end. When we've done well in the NIT and we havent parlayed it into squat.

I would personally rather watch the baseball team over the basketball at any time.

However, if the baseball team was finishing off the regular season with a meaningless game and the basketball team, who was showing some signs for optimism and other signs for concern, was starting conference play then I would be more interested in the basketball team whose fate had yet to be decided.

I am 100 times more interested in seeing if the baseball team can continue to have weekend success for the start of ACC play tonight! Every game matters, but this weekend is when the importance kicks up a notch in baseball.
