Sure looked like not

Dec 6, 2015, 12:16 AM

Almost looked like he thought it would get blocked so he ran?

Dabo said that Teasdall made his own choice to try to run

Dec 6, 2015, 12:17 AM

for the first down. It looked like the left side of the field was really open. It actually was but Andy Teasdall didn't take into account that he is twice as slow as the other guys on the field.

The call was a rugby punt with punter rolling right.
The heels also rolled to that side. Punter feared a blocked punt so he ran left.
the correct call would be for the punter to punt a traditional punt straight ahead.

THIS is accurate

Dec 6, 2015, 12:52 AM

The right side was blocked and he had no room to proceed with the punt.

He got scared. Once he stopped his motion to the right he was out of alignment for a punt down the middle but I imagine there's supposed to be a contingency for that.

I don't think he took off running because he saw an opening. He was trying to salvage a blown play much like an overthrown snap.

If you see the replay the left side opened up and I guess he thought he could get the first. They closed the gap pretty quickly, though. Poor choice. After Dabo got ahold of him I doubt it'll happen again.

Ours wasn't planned but looked better
