So what if Sams was a draft product from Clemson, how would you feel?

Would you support him? Or go Biblical on him? What if you never knew, throughout his Tiger career, you literally didn't know. Cause I never once heard a Mizzu fan bash him prior to this. Would you be that Tiger fan to bash him and denounce his accomplishments? Or celebrate his on the field play? Food for thought...

My problem with this whole spectacle isn't really with Sam. It is with all the people that are trying to make a spectacle out of him.

Don't study it to much my friend as I've not intended to give a severe opinion on the subject. Rather just asking an open ended question to the forum from a different perspective. Just a question to the group. Nothing more.

I could care less what he did in his spare time as long as he did not commit crimes and wasn't a bully on campus.
He has one life and if he lived it being miserable and suppressing what he really wanted that would be sad. I find Christianity to be very suppressive and I find there are too many outdated rules on how a person should live their life. I have a transgender cousin and I would prefer he be happy an live life on his terms rather than be miserable trying to live up to some standard set by society. I look at the Mormons in Utah who have a perception of living perfect lives, but that state has the highest rate of prescriptions of anti depressants.

Are mormons even allowed to take prescription anti-depressants? I served with a few of them in the military, and while they were great soldiers, they have some really weird rules they follow. From what I remember they don't even drink caffeine.
I agree with the gist of your post though. You only get one life, YOU have to figure out how best to live it.

I could care less if he is straight ,or gay as and as long as he knows I am straight,and doesn't bother me,I have no issue.
Besides,who am I to judge a persons lifestyle,or sexually preferences.

If he was a Clemson player, I would be proud of the way he spoke, but wonder why he needed to announce it and the timing.
Since I would have probably never met the young man personally, I would wonder how it effected team unity and did it in any way hurt our team's achievements.
As long as he didn't personally bother any non-willing members of his lifestyle including my family, other members of the Clemson student body, faculty, other members of society and me - I wish him the best in life.
I have a gay friend that has a masters and doctorate from Clemson. He is an extremely productive member of society. He recently gave a kidney for a transplant to an individual in the midwest he did not know. That effort started a chain of kidney transplants throughout the country for other people with matches and ended with a young man in Charleston - that he did not know getting a kidney. It was a very compassionate effort for any human being.
He and I are on the opposite ends of the spectrum as far as a lot of political beliefs; he being a liberal and I am a conservative.
I have a great respect for the man.

I think this topic is one that ESPN is shamelessly making this a big story for the ratings, when the actual response has overwhelmingly been that this is a non-issue. We are so far beyond the gay issue in today's society. Can he play football? He can? Well then..... that's all there is.
If this had happened 30 yrs ago, then he might be considered the "Jackie Robinson" of the gay movement. But this is a different time when it is really a non-issue. Apparently, his team knew it all along, or at the very least, strongly suspected. Didn't bother them. Reaction from athletes and NFL personel don't seem to be bothered by it, so "big yawn"..... it's not even a story..... except to ESPN who will blow every little thing out of proportion. Maybe they are the homo-phobes. No one else really seems to care.
