So what exactly are they doing to Doug Kingsmore?

I haven't really kept up with the renovations to Doug Kingsmore, are they just putting down new turf?
Which raises a couple more questions...
Are they putting down artificial turf or keeping real grass?
And also are they leaving the raised warning track? I always thought that was a cool unique the way we made our warning track.

They are moving the plate up 8 feet, fixing the holes in the outfield, but keeping the ramp as a warning area.

moving the plate/mound 8-10 feet towards the fence (I hear both numbers). This will make the foul poles move a bit also. The terrace warning track will remain, but be a uniform 15% grade the whole way around.
New drainage and irrigation.
And they are redoing both bullpens and adjusting the fenceline a little bit.

which includes;
1 - moving homeplate 8 to 10 feet closer toward the outfield fence.
2 - completely leveling the field and eliminating the drainage openings
3 - New drainage and irrigation system
4 - The sloped terrace or warning track will be made completely uniform throughout the entire outfield.

the turf around home plate, the batters boxes, and the on deck circles where the grounds crew has trouble getting grass to grow is being replaced with a more modern fade resistent field turf.
