So, we got knocked out of the Citrus because the Orange

Dec 7, 2014, 3:40 PM

did not take a Big 10 team. Am I missing something, or would that team not have been Mich St had they not been mysteriously jumped in the rankings by Miss St? The question then is, how did Miss St at 10-2 with losses to the #1 and #12 team (getting beat down by #12 in their last game), jump Mich St at 10-2 with losses to the #2 and #5 team?

This is the biased bullchit I warned y'all about. This "playoff" isn't any better than what we had. Maybe worse.

Mich St. Vs Baylor in Cotton

Im not sure if Citrus wants a Wisc team that got blown out

You have it exactly right

Orange obligated to take the highest ranked non-playoff team from either SEC or B1G.

Then the Citrus tie-in for ACC was conditional upon the Orange actually landing a B1G team. Since they didn't, Citrus isn't an option for the ACC.

and yes, it's a load of BS.

but were they expecting tOSU to get into the playoff?

with Mich St. in the Cotton, the top two B1G teams are gone and we are ranked higher than Wisc.

The Orange Bowl didn't select it. The Committee did.***

I should have said "get", not "take" (a Big 10 team).***

Yes orange chooses highest sec or big team which

Dec 7, 2014, 3:45 PM

Was mich st for 2 weeks until these final rankings bumped miss st randomly up 3 spots to nudge out mich st for orange.

Committee wanted GT vs Miss st.

Therefore citrus chooses big and not ACC. That's how the rules are written. Who knows if it happens

IF Michigan ST had played and beaten Wisconsin

Dec 7, 2014, 4:00 PM

Then you might logically conclude that Wisconsin getting stomped might drop Michigan St in the polls as a Quality win" would be diminished. HOWEVER. Michigan state did not even play Wisconsin. I guess the committee is more impressed by "quality loss" to ohio st.

Committee be cray cray

The fix was in for an SEC team to get Orange Bowl spot.***
