to make quality throws, or was it the QB that missed so often? Truthfully, I think it was a little of both. Even when Johnson came in to play, he did not have time to make good plays either. I actually still think HJ was the best QB we had, and I'm happy he moved on to play where he's given more of a chance to excel. With KB not really being a real threat to go deep, he allowed Bama to stack the box more. That glaring weakness probably had a lot to do with our OLine being unable to give the QB time to do anything.

For me, I still consider KB's inability to consistently hit the deep WR's as the biggest weakness that needs to be fixed. If Dabo is going to possibly play BOTH guys at QB, then I hope he uses TL when the field is longest, and use KB more in the red zone. KB is extremely hard to defend as a runner when he reaches the RZ, and TL can hit his deep targets with uncanny ease. Just makes sense to me if Dabo uses both guys. If he uses ONE guy, then I would want TL to come up to speed with the playbook so he could possibly start by the 5th-6th game.

I know - it won't happen, cuz Dabo will play KB until it is a problem. That's just how I see it. We'll be fine either way, so it really doesn't matter which guy is in there. Heck - Dabo could start Chase Brice and we'd still win most games.

Absolutely agree, and I don't care if we have a short fat midget behind center if he can make all the throws regardless of who the team is on the other side of the L O S trying to stop us!!! White, Black, Green, Yellow, or Purple skin color doesn't make one inkling of a difference to me if they can get the job done bc that is the only thing that matters at all!!! If a new and greatly improved KB steps behind center this Fall, I'm all the happier for him that he could make the necessary changes to be our starting QB, I will be one of the first to say good for him and how proud I am of him that he could turn it all around for himself and our Clemson Tiger FB team... Bring it on, and please for the other 84 guys on our team, play the best player we have for all the positions on both sides of the ball. Go Tigers, and we are talented enough to win another NC this year!!!
