Need to remember one thing about Zion's choice ...

Jan 21, 2018, 3:16 PM

He didn't REALLY want to commit to ANY college.

If he had his choice, he would have bypassed college altogether.

He's signing with Duke, but he's only attending college because he's being forced to.

IMHO, the rule allowing "one & done" is rather silly. Let them go straight to the NBA if they want to.

It would certainly help level the playing field (court) for schools like Clemson if guys like Zion just bypassed college instead of helping Duke or UNC win another title before leaving.

So true, NBA needs to go back to it’s old rule on that***

I disagree. If they don’t win it all next year,

I think he stays for two years. I have zero sources except my gut.

I wish Zion the best, but let's hope Duke "jells" next season the way the Kentucky has this year!

My gut tells me he doesn't care about "Winning it all"

He mainly cares about showcasing his talents in the best possible circumstances with an eye toward the next level.

And I don't say this because I consider him selfish ... I consider him realistic.

If Duke wins it all in the meantime, all the better for him and creating a showcase for his talent.

But, in no way do I see him coming back to college just because he wants to win a title for Duke.

As much as you may have him,

Lavar Ball has the right answer with his new league. I agree these guys have no business in college as one and dones.
