So the refs were not the best. Do any of you people

That are crying about the refs realize how many iffy calls we get in the Valley??? Of course you don't. It's called an away game and you have to anticipate that is going to happen. That is reality esp when you are beating that team. Refs are human and are influenced by home crowds. Get over it and expect it when you are on the road.

I'll be waiting...I have a feeling all night.
If you were actually a Clemson fan, which you aren't, the idea of Clemson getting calls in the ACC is hilarious and misinformed.
Again, which plays are you talking about specifically? If you are going to put forth an argument it needs supporting evidence.

I really don't care what you think. I have seen it time and time again. Expect officials to be influenced on the road. A large sect of Clemson fans think the "world" is out to get them. Clemson gets their calls at home to. But I'm sure you could never conceive that.

Was my only real beef. Everything else, pass interference no-calls on GT, PI calls on Clemson for batter balls, etc. were close enough not to argue. I mean I did yell at the TV but those were the type of calls that can go either way throughout a game. However, there were several times that the RB was moving before the center even flinched. I thought I was watching Canadian football or Arena Football at times. Two men in motion, motion man moving forward before the snap.....
The good news is that all that misdirection didn't help them much. Go Tigers!

I'm a Clemson fan living in NM, so I watched the game on delay. I thought the calls were getting so biased for keeping Ga Tech in the game I started to write them down while watching the game. Here's what I came up with:
1st half no pass interference against gt pass interference against clem no pass interference against gt not a backwards pass against gt no offside against gt
2nd half phantom first down for gt offside againt clem forward progress for 1st down against clem offside against clem pass interference on uncatchable ball against clem no pass interference against gt no pass interference against gt
I believe these are in order of how they happened during the game. I didn't record the time and didn't want to go back and look at what minute:second they happened in each quarter because I wanted to get the "feel" about what I saw while watching the game.
This game should have been and could have been a 50 point win for CU. If we get the same number of calls going our way at home against Louisville - we will certainly win.

The backwards pass that they ruled incomplete was the one that got me. It looked like the ref was right there in position to make the correct call but as soon as Clemson picked up the ball he was blowing the whistle and waving the play dead. What made it worse was they had just done the opposite thing to us on the other side of the field. We had an incomplete forward pass that they deemed a fumble and a loss of 4 or 5 yards. Dabo had to blow a gasket on the sidelines to get them to look at the replay and spot the ball correctly. Just looked way worse when they turned around and overlooked an actual backwards pass and fumble going the other way on the next series.

How does an away game or beating down a team justify bad calls?

Swoffie had these officials got to UNC for school, so they are well equipped to officiate games and make the correct calls. A good example was the safety. I called it as it happened and they got it right. As for the other, it was one sided all night long and it looked like gt was offside all night long that wasn't called. They never showed replays of that, just the hits on Watson. Oh, you say they dont go to classes at UNC. That explains it.

Watching a few of these Thursday night games..

has made me come to the conclusion that every conference sends their worst referee crews on Thursdays and saves their better crews for Saturdays.
