It has nothing to do with his being on the AL staff. He pulled in a bunch for FSU though he was there only a month. Our team is still loaded with his recruits though he hasn't been on the road for us in many years. Tajh Boyd, Cole Stoudt, Tyler Shatley, Brandon Thomas, Reid Webster, Vic Beasley, & Spencer Shuey are all Napier's recruits. If Coach Swinney had said at the beginning of his half-year that Napier would be the OC for the remainder of that season & then he would seek out a new OC, I think we could have kept him.

He was a top recruiter when we let him go. It had to be done though. He might still be here if we made him a QB coach instead of the OC.
