I know you are trying to help but your not helping. Yes plenty of 3* guys do well and some 4* guys crash and burn. Trying to build a championship roster with 3* guys is not possible (Google blue chip index CFB).
Basically we need to fill our roster with the best available in an unusual year which is what is happening. Some of these guys will flourish and some will flame out just like every other year. You trying to make an incomplete argument does not help anyone understand

Nah...I realize generally 4 and 5 stars are the way to go. It's just crazy that 3 of the HOF more than likely QB's in these playoffs were rated as they were. There was just a cool segment about for about 10 minutes on ESPN. Thought it was cool.

Look at my post above. I believe in having all 5 stars if possible. Teams built on 3 stars, even with good coaching end up like Minnesota Golden Gophers. Anyway....look above. I was just talking about this NFL playoff deal.

do the cherry picking of the 3% that made it. Yes most of these folks we are recently taking with be serviceable. But 97% of those guys do not make it.
I'm more frustrated at not taking good players out of the portal, but instead giving schollys to walk ons. And yes I know, each one of those walkons will be the next Hunter Renfrow.

You guys can be so soft. No, I am one that believe you want all 4 and 5 star recruits. This is just about how great the QB's are in the NFL playoffs and how low they were rated. Nothing more and nothing less. ESPN just did a segment on it that took 10 minutes. If you want to talk about it the other way and another topic. I believe the teams with top ranked recruiting classes will dominate over time. That part is a given.

Yeah and the NFL is full of 2 and 3 star O Lineman but let one Clemson 4 star have a bad game or 2 and it's like the world is ending and time to torch the coaching staff.

A lot bad ### OL in the NFL, especially at the OT position, put on strength and weight later. They were still growing and might have even been TE's converted to OT's.
